Ryanair do not accept unaccompanied minors under 16. However Ryanair is a good option for parents who wish to travel with their children to Ireland.
We provide supervised transfers to and from both airports.
On departure a member of our staff will accompany your child back to the airport and will remain there until his/her flight has departed.
Dental Emergencies are not covered by the European Health Card.
Yes. Your child is insured in the unlikely case of an accident happening.
Yes. We require all our staff to undergo police checks before working with us to ensure they can work with minors.
Yes. All activities are carried out by instructors who are fully trained in their area of expertise.
Yes. Our teachers are all native speakers who have specific qualifications to teach English. Our teachers are also state teachers so have plenty of experience teaching young learners!
Each bedroom is en-suite and sleeps 4 to 5 students. Usually 4 international students and 1 Irish student per room.
As students need a lot of energy, we ensure meals are to a high standard so they are enjoyed by all.
Breakfast: Choice of cereal, toast, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice, milk, hot chocolate etc.
Between Lessons: Croissants or biscuits
Lunch: Sandwiches, pasta, soup etc.
Dinner: A choice of two dishes every evening. Examples include chicken and mango salsa, pork and apple sauce, meatballs in tomato sauce, salmon with steamed vegetables and potatoes, vegetarian curry etc.
Snacks: Students have access to snacks at all times including toast, biscuits or fresh fruit
We cater for special dietary requirements.
Home sickness is a normal occurrence for some children on the summer camp. Our staff are fully qualified to deal with this and so we ask that contact from parents is kept to a minimum for the first two days. We have found that by immersing themselves in the course and activities children will soon forget about missing home and will really start to enjoy the course.
- At least 2 sets of clothes for outdoor activities (either shorts or tracksuit bottoms, t-shirts or light hoodies etc.)
- 1 Rain jacket / waterproof jacket
- 2 pairs of runners (one pair you don’t mind getting wet and very dirty!)
- 1 old set of clothes – for the weekend camping excursion (old tracksuit bottoms and a warm top)
- Swimwear
- 2 medium sized towels
- Sunscreen
- A small rucksack (this is not essential but is very useful for students to carry their gear to and from the school).
- Toiletries
- Ordinary clothes for morning lessons and evening activities etc.
- A warm jumper or hoodie
- Nightwear
Nationality quotas and the presence of Irish teenagers ensures students can’t rely on their native tongue to communicate. It might seem difficult but after a day or two even the shyest of students manage most of their communication in English!
