About English Language Camp Ireland
Our goal is for students to enjoy learning the English language in a relaxed and fun environment.
Who we are:
ELCI was established in 2011 by Grainne Doherty and Niall Foley, both qualified English teachers they have taught in companies including Deutsche Bank, Fiat, Iveco, Intesa San Paolo, El Corte Ingles and Santander.
Grainne and Niall also have vast experience preparing teenage students for Cambridge and Trinity exams.
Our teaching staff are fully qualified by the Department of Education in Ireland and all our activity leaders are trained and assigned to activities based on their expertise.
Staff are dedicated to creating a fun and memorable experience for students. With a maximum of 50 students per course, we get to know each student which contributes to the ‘family’ atmosphere of the school.
The surrounding grounds are safe and secure with Lough Arrow providing the perfect backdrop for students to relax and enjoy the Irish countryside.
At ELCI we choose a number of Irish teenagers to help out on the courses. These teens are very supportive of the International students, helping them to settle into the course by showing them around, introducing them to existing students and assisting them with any small problems they might have.
The Irish teenagers participate in all aspects of the course from activities and meals to weekend excursion. This participation provides an additional exposure to native speakers and the English language.
Students are aged between 12 and 17 and come from all over the world to learn English, make friends and enjoy all the activities this beautiful area has to offer.
With a maximum of 10 students per class, students are grouped based on academic level and age. Our students really enjoy the range of activities which are all done through English – so learning continues long after the classes have finished!
